Privacy Policy

Last updated: 1/07/2026

At picstack, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy outlines our practices concerning the handling of user data.

If you have any questions, contact us at picstacksupport@gmail.com.

The short version

picstack edits photos entirely on your device. Your photos are never uploaded to us or to anyone else. We do not require an account, and we do not run analytics, advertising, or tracking. The only information that leaves your device is what’s needed to process a subscription purchase (handled by the app stores and our subscription provider) and to deliver app updates.

Information we do NOT collect

  • We do not collect or upload your photos.

  • We do not require or create an account, and we do not collect your name, email, phone number, or contacts.

  • We do not use analytics, advertising identifiers, or third-party trackers.

  • We do not collect your location, and we do not read photo location metadata (the App is configured with media-location access disabled).

Photos and on-device processing

When you select photos in picstack, they are processed locally on your device:

  • Subject lifting (background removal) runs on-device using Apple Vision (iOS) or Google ML Kit (Android).

  • Compositing and preview happen on-device in the App.

  • A finished image is saved only when you choose to export it, and only to your device’s photo library. We never receive a copy.

We do not use your photos to train models or for advertising.

To do this, the App requests permission to access photos you select and to save your finished image to your library. You can manage these permissions in your device settings.

Information processed when you subscribe

picstack offers optional paid plans (a monthly subscription and a one-time lifetime purchase). If you purchase or restore a purchase:

  • Apple App Store / Google Play process the payment. We never receive or store your card details. Their handling of your information is governed by Apple’s and Google’s privacy policies.

  • RevenueCat, Inc. provides our subscription management. To validate your access to premium features, RevenueCat receives a pseudonymous app user identifier, your purchase/receipt information, and basic device and operating-system information. RevenueCat does not receive your photos. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.

We use this information solely to determine whether your device is entitled to premium features. We do not build advertising or marketing profiles.

App updates

We use Expo Application Services (EAS Update) to deliver over-the-air updates to the App. When the App checks for an update, Expo may receive your app version, platform, and IP address to serve the correct update. See Expo’s privacy policy at expo.dev/privacy.

Children

picstack is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us.

How long we keep information

We do not store your photos or personal information on our servers. Records relating to a subscription purchase are retained by Apple, Google, and RevenueCat in accordance with their own policies and your legal rights.

Your privacy rights

We handle very little personal information. Because we don’t hold your photos or account data, most access/correction/deletion requests relating to purchases are directed to Apple, Google, or RevenueCat.

  • Australia: We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

  • International users (e.g. EEA/UK GDPR, California CCPA): you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information. Contact us and we will respond as required by applicable law.

Security

Because processing happens on your device and we store no photos or accounts, the main protections for your content are your device’s own security controls. Information shared with Apple, Google, and RevenueCat is protected under their respective security practices.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where required, provide additional notice.
